IO Datalabs was founded in response to the growing demand for high-quality, scalable engineering solutions. What began as a specialized internal team evolved into a full-service engineering partner, grounded in the belief that organizations require more than code — they require well-architected, thoughtfully executed digital solutions.

Established in 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the firm was founded by engineers with extensive experience supporting enterprise clients. Over time, a consistent pattern emerged across industries: design-focused agencies lacking technical depth, development firms without architectural rigor, and consulting organizations delivering strategy without execution.

IO Datalabs was created to bridge this gap.

Starting as a team of four, the company focused on delivering complex fintech and automotive platforms with accelerated timelines. Projects often estimated at six months or longer were successfully delivered in 12–16 weeks, without compromising on quality or scalability. This execution-driven approach established a strong foundation of client trust and long-term partnerships.

Today, IO Datalabs operates with a team of 20+ professionals across North America and India. The organization remains engineering-led, with a continued emphasis on senior-level expertise across all engagements. Clients work directly with experienced engineers responsible for both design and delivery, ensuring accountability, continuity, and precision.

Expert in scalable distributed systems and agile delivery.

Harmanpreet brings 12+ years of experience designing distributed systems that handle millions of transactions daily. Before IO Datalabs, he led backend engineering at an automotive SaaS company, where he architected the real-time telemetry platform that processed data from 50,000+ connected vehicles.
